Concerning Curtis

Dani drives to the church to talk with Curtis during the day on Wednesday.

He tells Asha about hearing back from Guy and Jim, who, Dani figures, must be his closest friends, sorta. They are his most prolific facebook friends.

"I think we should go to your dorm and check it out. They'll let you in even if you don't have your key, and then we can see if there are any clues. Maybe we can find out what happened to you or when you were last seen. Maybe you have a roommate.
Asha, what do you think? Adventure?"

Anything to get out of this tower, he gets all weepy whenever I try to leave.

"Curtis, you up for this? We can maybe figure out some more on your timeline?"

Dani is excited, but also jittery.
If they say no ... well, I have somewhere else I can be.

"Hey Curtis, are you coming to my party this Thursday? Asha's coming."

curtis gives a shrug and a shakey nod. "I think so? if, um," looks over at Asha, "people come along too."

"is the party safe? what kind of party was it again?"

/blarg about the party.

give asha ::excited:: eyes. /true love! /swwoooon.
Dani wants to be matchmaker.
"Hey, have you two seen Frozen? You should totally go out and see it, it's like ...awesome."

Asha gives Dani a look of death, "Curtis and I have been spending every waking moment together, and I really don't have time to go see children's movies when I can't even do my job because I am constantly babysitting this one."
Jerks a thumb towards Curtis.

"But if you want Dani, why don't you take him out tonight, I am sure some apart time would do him good."

"I actually ... have plans. Besides." moves close to Asha, "he's totally into you."
"And it isn't a children's movie. Wow. No one appreciates the genius that is the animated musical." /rolls eyes

"Let's do this dorm thing?"
slightly less friendly. Asha. How disappointing. True Love! Go get it.

"so.. the three of us are gonna go see if I had a dorm room? now? Will the priest be coming too?
"you just need me for the key, right? I don't have to go up to the room? it might be a trap. or something."


(( Storyteller doesn't mind at all if you two team up on him to separate him from Asha so she can investigate other things. He just doesn't want to be separated))

"It's not a trap, it's your room. I talked to your friends Guy and Jim. You remember them at all?"

/shows him his Facebook page

"If you were going to pick a password for Facebook, what would it be?"

he shakes his head at you about those guys. blank look

he is really disturbed by his facebook page. "i don't know... I'm studying accounting? all these people know me?"

"Yeah, well. "Know" might be a strong word, but yes, they are all people who like you enough to friend you on Facebook. And these two were able to tell me, sorta, how to get a hold of you."

Asha is observing the exchange but remaining silent.

"Are we taking one car or two? I'm not leaving Galaxy, I just got her back."

Curtis looks over at Asha. "the glittery car is ok. high visibility vehicles are less likely to get into accidents, unless they're red.

"Or they're attacked by demon dogs." Dani adds, quietly.

"that's happened before!? i thought it was just me!"
pale face. scoots even closer to asha. for protection. yes. just protection.

"We can take your car."
Asha looks at Curtis scooting closer with annoyance in her eyes.
"Dani's car was scratched up badly when we tried to save you."

"It's ok. It turned out being the best thing that ever happened to me. Just goes to show how lucky seemingly bad thigns can be."
Dani smiles winningly at the pair of them. He seems to have put them in the "couple" category.

"Good, I'll drive. You two can share the backseat if you want." and then he blushes, quite deeply. No reason. Newp.

Asha sits in the passenger seat.

dani navigates with mad skillz. he drives safely, but manages to cut down on the travel time. yep.

curtis fastidiously buckles his seat belt in the back, behind asha.

dorm! curtis looks at it with curiosity. "it's not familiar at all."

the doors have signs
"University Tower is closed for winter break.
If you are locked out call 317-000-0000.
Fee is increased to $50 from $10 during break.
Happy Holidays!"

"OK, well, we have to call the number. Or, you do, really. I'll pay for it though."
/smiles encouragingly at Curtis.

"but it says it is closed?" confused. but is willing to call number.

"hi, i guess i'm curtis.. um, martin? Martin. And i wanted to get into my dorm room, that i guess i have. but i guess i lost my key?"

"oh, well, I'm not sure? i don't remember."
"oh you can? thanks."
"I did? ok. well, i still lost my key. and need to see if my stuff is ok. i guess."
"What is that? no, i lost that too. Curtis. Martin.
"ok. thanks"

to you two,
"someone will be here in a little while. I'm supposed to wait"
